Our Commitment
Mr Wok is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and we are dedicated to providing a website experience that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.
We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards. We strive to adhere to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility, Mr Wok takes the following measures on our website:
- Include accessibility as part of our web design and development practice.
- Use clear, semantic HTML heading structure to support screen reader navigation.
- Provide sufficient color contrast between text and background elements.
- Ensure all images include meaningful alternative text descriptions.
- Design navigation to be fully operable via keyboard, without requiring a mouse.
- Make all interactive elements clearly identifiable and keyboard-focusable.
- Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second to prevent triggering photosensitive reactions.
- Use descriptive link text so users understand the purpose of each link without additional context.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Mr Wok's website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively identifying and addressing all known issues.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, there may be some limitations on our website. Below are known limitations we are actively working to improve:
- Embedded maps: Our Google Maps embed may have limited keyboard accessibility. Users who need assistance finding our location can contact us directly by phone.
- Third-party content: Some linked or embedded third-party content may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We encourage our partners to maintain accessible solutions.
